ASIAN-INSPIRED CONTEMPORARY DESIGN HIGHLIGHTS THE PAOLI SHOJI SEATING SERIES

ORLEANS, INDIANA, JUNE 2007 — Paoli Furniture introduces the Shoji seating series featuring the essence of contemporary and Eastern design attributes. Shoji seating presents specifiers with a choice of four wood back panel designs, and is appropriately proportioned to fit numerous interior applications — lobbies, foyers and executive offices.

According to furniture designer Marcy King, Marcy King Designs, the subtle design undertones of the Paoli Shoji wood seating series was influenced by traditional oriental designs. This design influence beautifully harmonizes with the increased use of materials such as bamboo and rattan in floors and wallcoverings in the contract market.

Made of select hardwoods and available in any standard Paoli wood finish, the Paoli Shoji Seating series was designed to embellish a range of interior environments and provide users with comfort, style, stability, and versatility. For the upholstered back and seat, a broad range of Paoli fabrics or COM is available providing maximum design flexibility.

One of the distinctive design elements of this chair series is the pierced back panel in four styles: Spider, Key, Xweave, and Horizontal Slot.

Furthermore, although traditionally inspired, this chair includes contemporary styling touches with its wide back rail, gently curved legs, and the accentuated reveal lines at the joint of the arm to front and back posts. For the Paoli Shoji seating series the goal was to have all elements combine for an exquisite compilation of detail, form and function.
