PAOLI Seating Achieves Prestigious Environmental Certification
Non-wood executive, management, and conference chairs are verified as meeting the most demanding indoor air quality standards in the U.S. and contribute LEED credits for building projects.
ORLEANS, IN—Seventeen Paoli executive, management, and conference chair series have been certified as meeting criteria of the ANSI/BIFMA Furniture Emissions Standards.
The certified chairs qualify for environmental quality credits under the U.S. Green Building Council’s Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) system.
The components and raw materials of the chairs were tested under rigorous protocol and certified by Scientific Certification Systems (SCS) as conforming to the indoor air quality criteria established by BIFMA. The chairs have received the SCS Indoor Advantage™ certification. SCS is one of the oldest and most trusted names in independent certification of environmental claims.
The prestigious certifications were awarded to Paoli non-wood seating including multiple models within the Maxim product line, R5, Omage, Briza, Hug, Apex, Sonora, Seven Five, and Slingshot. Certified models in the Whitehall Collection include Brea, Cashmere, and Sahara.
“Meeting BIFMA’s demanding indoor air quality criteria and receiving SCS Indoor Advantage certification which uses a scientific standard for assurance is recognition of Paoli’s commitments to responsible product design and construction,” says Kent Robbins, Paoli’s Vice President, Marketing.
“These certifications provide our dealers and customers with the certain knowledge that the Paoli seating they install contributes to employee well-being and productivity,” adds Mr. Robbins. “We believe that certification will bolster the ability of Paoli dealers to support more LEED-driven building projects and participate more broadly with General Services Administration customers.”
Certification to BIFMA’s indoor air quality standard is voluntary. Achieving this certification demonstrates Paoli’s ongoing environmental commitment and reinforces the company’s role as a leading supplier of furniture with reduced environmental impact.
“Paoli is committed to being good stewards of the environment, and we are continuing to invest in certification to the BIFMA indoor air quality standards across our offering,” notes Robbins. “Achieving certification recognizes Paoli’s efforts today and honors our environmental legacy.”
