Miraval

Miraval designed by Marcy King

Q: What was your primary design goal for Miraval?

A: My goal with Miraval was to maximize style, quality, function and comfort for the ultimate support of all of a specifier’s needs.

Finely proportioned seating and table elements, comfort, durability, and configurability make this a desirable seating line for the specifier looking to furnish a waiting room lobby or an executive office. It combines the style and function that all public environments demand.

Q: What makes this line different from other ganging seating collections?

A: This is a more current design and is ideal for newer office installations.

Q: What did you have in mind when you considered the comfort aspects of this collection?

A: The chair’s fully upholstered back and seat and suitable proportions will provide users with extended comfort even during long waits.

Q: What was your biggest challenge in designing Miraval?

A: The biggest challenge in any ganging design is to fashion a substantial arm and leg assembly that has aesthetic appeal and functions well to support two seats. I accomplished this by choosing a more delicate arm design that balances the sturdiness of the in-line formation.
