THE NEW PAOLI FUSE SERIES MERGES CUSTOM-LOOKING CASEGOODS WITH ADVANCED STORAGE AND WIRE MANANGEMENT
ORLEANS, IN — June 2007 — The new higher-profile, seamlessly constructed Paoli Fuse casegoods series offers the desirable look of custom cabinetry along with practical storage choices for abundant application possibilities. Advanced wiring provisions facilitate easy service access and completely eliminate clutter for a pulled together look.
“We took a new approach to construction for this product line, merging desirable and practical attributes. The result is a distinct, tightly integrated visual that looks attractive from the front, back or sides in any configuration,” says designer Daniel Grabowski, G2 Product Development. Other key design features include:
- Metal detailing and expressive door pulls
- Floating wood and glass modesty panels
- Pronounced two-inch thick support for upper bookcases
- Floating top returns and personal storage components
- Choice of cherry or maple veneer specially selected for Fuse.
Addressing Specifer Challenges
Paoli Fuse casegoods were designed to address the primary aesthetic/function challenges facing architects, designers and specifiers.
First, Fuse components allow for planning applications that look custom, while adequately and attractively addressing technology and wire management.
Secondly, the design provides additional personal storage and electronic equipment space, while increasing the amount of overhead storage in a smaller footprint. This design solution answers the growing need in healthcare, insurance, financial and legal professions for confidential filing and document printing inside private offices.
Look No Wires, No Clutter!
Cable management has been seamlessly incorporated into Paoli Fuse. The tackboard not only attractively holds desking accessories, it hides cords and wires. In addition, below the worksurfaces are a series of concealed spaces that manage wires and cords, plug strips and routers and facilitate immediate access to building power, voice and data connections. No more kneespace clutter or messy wiring dangling underneath.
With Fuse storage, worksurfaces are much more likely to stay clutter-free, too. A series of cabinets provide a place for business peripherals (digital cameras, audio players, phones, etc.) to dock and recharge without causing credenza top disarray. Cabinets easily store a small multi-function printer/scanner and all its associated materials. Furthermore, moveable panels provide easy wall connections, quick wire routing and enhanced access for installing and servicing devices.
Solutions for Asymmetrical or Symmetrical Configurations
Sitting flush to walls for a built-in look, Fuse was designed to meet a wide range of application requirements. The dramatic upward design of Paoli Fuse increases density of storage in large executive offices and narrow workwall applications as well as small offices and compact support personnel spaces (as small as 6-ft. by 6-ft.). At 54-inches tall from the worktop and 84-inches from the floor, the optional overhead cabinets are 12-inches taller than standard cabinets.
With taller cabinets and overhead storage, Paoli Fuse is distinctive for its visual “lift” and its balance of open/closed, thick/thin components. Fuse features LED lighting and a new take on side cabinets.
The resulting combination of contemporary components is sophisticated, clean-lined and contained. This enables specifiers to plan either striking asymmetrical configurations or classic symmetrical settings.
Specifiers and users can fine-tune individual layout in several ways:
- Tackboard elements can be personalized
- Pedestal components provide easy access and further contain personal/office clutter and offer secure storage
- There’s a choice of frosted glass or wood doors
Reflecting Today’s Business Environment
According to Grabowski, Paoli Fuse was designed to reflect the more upbeat mood in today’s business community, while giving attention to the changing electronic/media requirements of a typical private office.
“Practicality hasn’t gone away as the function of this series demonstrates, but now it’s combined with an increasing desire for design that is a bit more daring. When fully wired and connected, a Paoli Fuse office will harmonize the technological with the physical and the visual with the functional for a setting that’s inviting, efficient and good looking from any perspective,” he states. Further design benefits include:
- Planning in L or U applications creates a visual connection between the upper and lower elements.
- Smaller components for support staff including a reception station.
